- インターネットで拝見しています。上野天満宮のホームページは他に比べて表示が遅い時がありますが、解決策はないでしょうか。

- 以前は、お正月に行くところが無くて神社をたずねていた感じです。でも最近お正月イベントがたくさんあるので、わざわざあまり興味のない神社に行くこともありませんでした。しかし今年はわが子の入学試験だからどこかの神社を探していました。それで上野天満宮に遠方から参拝しましたが、インターネットを利用されてとっても身近に感じられるようになりました。来年のお正月も参拝します。
- 一昨年、七五三参りでお世話になりました娘宛にいつも「てんじんプログラムニュース」を送っていただき有り難うございます。
初めて目にした折りは、まあ現代のお宮さんのハイカラぶりにびっくりいたしましたが、何度か読ませていただくにつれ、宮司様（こうお呼びしてよいでしょうか？）のおもしろい（?）お人柄がわかってきて、次第に興味深く読ませていただくようになりました。残念ながら、人形やらなにやらは、まだ一度もお願いしたことはありませんが、我が家の行事のふしめふしめに、上野の天神さまには、いつもお世話になっています。
今年の秋にも二女の七五三参りと、今夏出産予定の第三子のお宮参りと併せてお願いするつもりでおります。
つたない文章ではありますが、ひとことお礼が申し上げたくて思い切ってペンをとりました。
これからも、宮司さんらしくない宮司さんでありますよう、呉々も御身大切にご精進くださいませ。

 アメリカのテキサス大学の比較文化専攻のゼミの生徒さんたちが「御守り」に興味をもちました。上野天満宮に依頼があり日本から御守りを送付しましたが、その後彼らから沢山感想文を送って頂きました。下がその「お守り体験レポート」の一部です。いい体験をしたようですね！？
- The omamori, that was given to me, is and unique gift. I
was very thankful, for I have never received anything form Japan
before, that did not have the word "Sony" written someplace
on it.
From the moment that I got my omamori, I held tightly on to it.
I held it in my hand until I went home where there I paced it
on a shelf that I have collected other unique gifts from other
cultures, such a polished stone form the Pueblo Indians of the
Southwestern part of the United States. It too has many of the
same powers of good fortune.
Each time that a guest arrived in my house, I showed them the
omamori, and told them of its unglue powers. They were always
as intrigued and impressed as I was. The temptation not to open
it and look inside, decreased as the week went by.
I am happy to say that for the week, I was not involved in any
accident or disaster. However, my academic career did not go
as well, for I received back tow test, where the grade was a
"C". If only I had the omamori one week sooner when
I was taking the test, maybe the outcome would have been better.
Again, I would like to say thank you and I am very appreciative
of the gift that you have given me.

- Thank you very much for the omamori, it was very kind of
you. After I received it from Dr. Nelson, I was thinking about
opening it - that was my initial reaction. But then Dr. Nelson
said no to and so I didn't. It doesn't feel particularly special
to me, I'm mainly curious about the inscription contained within.
I tied onto my backpack zipper right away and enjoy having it
swing around as I walk around the college campus. I got comments
on it in the first week only from other people that owned omamuri's
- felt kind of like a members only club or something. I was planning
to have my girlfriend kiss it for good luck but she probably
wouldn't do it so I didn't ask her. Once again, thank you for
the gift, I'll carry it with me for as long as I own a handbag.
- Thank you very much for the omamori. The first few days I
had the amulet I kept it in my backpack I later placed it on
my computer to help me write several papers. While I often thought
about it, it did not seem to help as much as I had hoped. However,
my writing did seem to move a little faster than usual. Furthermore,
after a long drought, Austin got its first thunderstorm of the
season. Again, I thank you for the amulet.
- Thank you for the amulet (omamori) that you gave me. My beds
are bunked in my room, so I hung the amulet on the bars above
my head on my bed. So basically, it was directly above my head
while I slept. At first, I felt strange having such a thing hanging
from my bed which is supposed to bring good fortune. But as the
week went on, I became used to it and looked at it as a decoration.
Some things that have occurred to me this week since I got the
amulet is that I have completed some school papers that I was
worried about and I also began a relationship with a new girlfriend.
I don't know what to think of these occurrences but I would like
to thank you again for the amulet. It is very nice and a great
souvenir as I learn about Japanese culture.
